Framingham Aikikai is located at 61
Fountain Street, Framingham MA in the center of the Metrowest
area.
Travel Alert: The Fountain
Streeet Bridge has now been reopened.
Fountain
Street runs northwest from Route 135/Waverly Street.
If you are coming from the Framingham train station (an easy landmark
on Waverly St/Rt. 135.) head west and at the first light, turn right
onto Fountain Street.
A short way up, Fountain Street goes over the railroad tracks (on
a small overpass).
Immediately after that, you will see a big, brown mill building
on your right. Turn right on the far side of the mill building into
the parking lot and go straight ahead. You will see
the dojo, it is a white free-standing building
set back off the street in the parking lot. There is an "Aikido"
sign on it.
Note:
If you get directions to the dojo from your GPS or MapQuest, for
example, you will usually be directed through Framingham Center
on Route 126. If you are coming during high traffic times,
this can be very slow, and it is often advisable to come via Mt.
Wayte Ave. and Dudley Road, or other alternative routes.
Travel
Alert: While the Fountain Street bridge is under construction, you
will not be able to turn onto Fountain Street from Waverly St/Route
135. Instead of turning on Fountain, proceed to Winter Street
(you will see Keefe Tech Hich School on the right corner, turn right,
and then take the next right onto Fountain Street.
You can
also access the dojo from Mt. Wayte Ave. and Dudley Road.
