June 14, 15, 16 2024
Prindle Pond Conference Center, in Charleton, MA

As before, we intend it to be a "retreat" where for three days and two nights we can all unplug and live in the Aikido universe. (Don't panic! There is WiFi available in the dining hall, so the unplugging need not be total.)

As those of you who have attended the Memorial Seminar before know, the setting is beautiful, the accommodations are simple but comfortable and the food is good and healthy.  It has a retro feeling and is very much like the places  Kanai Sensei chose for summer camps in the early days of Aikido.

It will feature an all-star lineup of senior instructors (including instructors of the Shin Kaze Aikido Alliance),  fun activities, and affordable prices.

Experience - a large group of Shin Kaze and other senior instructors will celebrate the influence of Kanai Sensei. Review his singular techniques and learn something new. (though we focus on Kanai Sensei, we will also feature instructors who are students of other of our teachers.)

Celebration - the celebration doesn’t end on the mat, the seminar provides daily opportunities to relax, socialize and have fun.

Affordable Pricing - Through the generosity of the instructors, we are again able to keep seminar fees quite low. The aim is to give more people access to the seminar whether they are attending for one day, two or all three days. So it is priced to make seminar costs reasonable.  (Anyone who can not afford the seminar should contact us to talk.)

Families are welcome - Prindle Pond staff will conduct a variety of nature-related experiences for all the children (and adults) who wish to participate.
The seminar is open to all Aikido practitioners of any experience-level, affiliation or style.

Framingham Aikikai hosted the Kanai Sensei seminar each year from 2017 to 2019.  The pandemic interrupted it, but we continued on 2023.

The seminar will again be at the Prindle Pond Conference Center in Charlton, MA, about 45 minutes west of Natick very near Sturbridge, MA.
